1. About Fairway Friends
Fairway Friends is a Phoenix-area pilot intended to help golfers find playing partners and coordinate opportunities to play. Fairway Friends is operated by Joshua Hewlett, a sole proprietor doing business as Fairway Friends. These terms apply to your use of the website and any pilot services made available to you.
2. Pilot Participation
The pilot is currently in early access, and registration is opening soon. Participation is free during the pilot unless we clearly tell you otherwise before you join a future offering. Features, availability, matching activity, and service hours may change as the pilot is tested.
3. SMS Program
If SMS registration becomes available, you may be asked to provide your mobile number and give express consent before receiving program texts. After opt-in, planned messages may include signup confirmations, tentative match or round invitations, requests to confirm attendance by replying YES or NO, attendance reminders approximately 24 hours before a scheduled round, and updates about changes or cancellations. Messages are intended to support matching and round coordination.
4. Message Frequency and Rates
Message frequency varies. The number of texts depends on your signup, match activity, and round coordination. Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless plan. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or participation in the pilot.
5. Opt-Out and Help
Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance. You can also contact customer support at support@fairwayfriendsphx.com. Opting out will stop program texts but may limit coordination through text messaging. Replying YES or NO answers an attendance request; it does not change your overall SMS consent.
6. Matching and Tee Times
Fairway Friends may introduce golfers and help coordinate a possible round, but does not guarantee a match, a tee time, course access, or that a round will take place. Golfers are responsible for making any tee time or other arrangements and for any course fees, equipment costs, transportation, or other expenses. The pilot does not book or pay for golf on your behalf. Other participants may cancel or fail to attend.
7. Participant Responsibilities
Provide accurate information, communicate respectfully, honor your commitments or promptly notify others if plans change, and follow applicable course rules and laws. Do not use the Service to harass, threaten, mislead, or unlawfully contact another participant. Respect other golfers’ privacy and do not share their contact details without permission.
8. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the Privacy Policy. Review it before joining any pilot signup or messaging program.
9. Changes or Ending the Pilot
We may update these terms as the pilot develops and will post a revised version with an updated effective date. We may pause or end the pilot or any feature at any time. Continued participation after updated terms are published means you accept the revised terms.
